Your guided experience begins at the hotel in Galle, where you will be picked up by our English-speaking chauffeur/guide at 6.00 am in the morning in an air-conditioned vehicle. The travel time from Galle to Sinharaja takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, while it is advised that you bring a packed breakfast without stopping en route for a break.
Once we reach the Deniyaya Entrance of the Sinharaja Rainforest Reserve, you start off a memorable guided tour that will last for 4 hours. Explore winding trails that give you backdrops of towering forests of lush greenery, and encounter rare and exotic birds, butterflies, and flora. The rainforest’s misty atmosphere adds to its allure, making it perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The Lakpura guided tour provides insights into the rich ecosystem of this rainforest, promising a day full of excitement, calmness and wonderment.
After the 4-hour guided tour, you will head to the Sinharaja Forest Edge Hotel, located in Deniyaya itself, where you can enjoy an authentic local lunch. We then head back to Galle in the air-conditioned vehicle and drop you back at your hotel, ending the tour.
