Taxi services and hire vehicles are available from the International Airport which is about 2 ½ hours - 3 hours away.

The town centre is about a 20 minute walk away while you can always explore the busy streets with many shops, cafes and commercial spaces bordering them. Some of the well known places to visit in Kandy include the Temple of the Sacred Tooth, the Kandy Museum, the British Garrison Cemetery and the Hanthane Tea Factory.
