Clay Plate Painting from Colombo

We introduce you to a beautiful experience where two worlds come together exploring the connections between presenting food artistically while highlighting cultural heritage and discovering your personal creative abilities during the process.

The clay plate painting program aims to help you understand that the visual appeal of the food and how we present it to people plays a significant role in how one perceives the taste and quality of food. The plate you serve your food on can be a canvas too. You can be from any part of the world, young or old, a professional artist or novice, this plate painting program offers you the joy of designing and painting your own plate and display your artistic ability that reflects your language of creativity.

The program consists of structured sessions with an introductory session consisting of participants understanding the historical significance of dinnerware and the psychological aspects of plating. This will be followed by a hands-on painting workshop that will allow participants to design and create unique plates.

• All necessary materials for the clay painting program including clay plates, paints, brushes and tools

Note: Paints are all water based non toxic acrylic paint which ensures a safe experience. All material used here are child-friendly and suitable for participants from age 6 onwards.
